Thomas Davies, DDS
Thomas Davies has been practicing quality dentistry since graduating from the U.S.C. School of Dentistry in 1977. He is a member in good standing with the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Diego Dental Society.

Throughout the years Tom has developed long-lasting and trusting relationships with his patients. Taking plenty of time with you assures you of better quality care.

Dawn M. Fausner, RDH
Dawn Fausner was a flight attendant prior to graduating from Clayton State University in 1991 to become a dental hygienist. She served on the San Diego County Dental Hygienist Association for five years.

Ms. Fausner has lived in Carlsbad for six years with her beautiful Golden Retriever, SaraMia.

Ralph Brown, DDS
Dr. Brown graduated from UCLA School of Dentistry in 1977.  He is certified through the American Heart Association as an Emergency Cardiac Care Provider in CPR and does extensive training annually.  He has been affiliated with numerous dental associations including the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the San Dieguito Dental Academy.  Dr. Brown is a published author, and he has extensive training and experience in Cosmetic and Family Dentistry.  He resides in Encinitas, is married, and has two grown children and two grand-children.

Charles Nicholson, DDS
We welcome and are very proud and pleased to introduce the newest member of our professional staff – Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Charles Nicholson. Dr. Nicholson has developed and will direct our oral surgery and dental implantology department. Dr. Nicholson is a graduate of the University Of Maryland Baltimore College Of Dental Surgery, and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery internship and residency at V.A. Hospital Long Beach, California, affiliated with the U.C.I. Medical School. Dr. Nicholson served three years in the U.S. Army before college and earned his airborne wings at Fort Campbell, Kentucky with the 101st Airborne.

Dr. Nicholson enjoys vigorous physical workouts and active sports including cycling and snowboarding and motocross. He is currently learning kite boarding.

Our patients in need of oral surgery and dental implant services can now be treated in our modern, state-of-the-art facilities with sedation and general anesthesia options. Dr. Nicholson believes in comprehensive gentile patient care and will discuss any and all of your treatment options and concerns. Dr. Nicholson has been a pioneer in dental implantology and has presented courses and lectures nationally and internationally. He has been a ground breaking practitioner in the evolution of dental implantology into the standard of care in dentistry. We can often provide “teeth in an hour” with computerized CAD-CAM CT design in selected cases, and provide immediate restorations for single or multiple missing teeth.

Joelle Tavitian, DDS
Dr. Joelle Tavitian is a personable and highly enthusiastic endodontist, with state of the art training in modern endodontic dentistry. Dr. Tavitian received her dental degree in 1999, from the University of Southern California. She then pursued two additional years of education after receiving her dental degree.

She completed her endodontic specialty training in 2001 from the University of Southern California, with knowledge and experience in all aspects of morphology, physiology, and pathology of the human dental pulp and periradicular tissues.

Dr. Tavitian understands that dentistry has many built-in anxieties, and is committed to providing excellence in Endodontic services in a professional, caring and comfortable atmosphere, with exceptional and unmatched customer service.

Some endodontically involved cases are more complicated than others, and by referring you to a specialist your family dentist is demonstrating a personal concern for the excellence of your dental care. While Dr. Tavitian treats patients from many dental offices, her goal is to be an extension of every referring office and work with the referring practitioner on a continuing basis.
